On my web based email I cant' compose or reply or click help!!?

I had a virus and just got my computer out of the shop. The shop said to reinstall yahoo. I just check it web based. When I went to uninstall it doesn't even show yahoo as installed. Was it installed? How do I reinstall? I can check my email but I need to be able to reply. Thanks!

Yahoo email is NOT installed on your system. It is on the Yahoo servers and you use the internet to access it remotely. So, you don't need to uninstall or reinstall it. If it is not working as it should, you may possibly have a corrupt cache file -- it makes all KINDS of things go wonky. Try this: clear your history, temporary files (these will take a while!) %26amp; cookies, restart the computer and retry. Here is the HELP link for how to do this in different browsers: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya...

If that does not work and you have the NEWER version of Yahoo email, switch back to the CLASSIC version. To switch from Upgraded Yahoo Mail back to Classic Yahoo! Mail:

EITHER: At the top left of your screen, directly under your Welcome %26lt;username%26gt; sign next to the Yahoo! Mail logo, there are three small blue links: “Sign out” “My Account” “Mail Classic”. Click “Mail Classic”.

-OR-

Choose the OPTIONS link (top right) and select the LAST option, which is “Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic”

-OR-

Log out or close Mail, reopen Mail.

As it is loading, there will be a link that says “Trouble Logging In?” at the top LEFT of the screen, under your Welcome %26lt;username%26gt;. Click it. You will have several options that might help with your problem. If not:

The last option is :

Switch back to Classic Yahoo! Mail

Select that to switch back to Classic mail.

Reply:Yahoo! Mail can't be installed on your computer, it's a web based mail and you can check it on any computer anywhere that is connected to the internet. The only part of Yahoo! Mail that can be installed on your computer is the file that adds Yahoo! Mail to your list of default email options in Internet Options.

To make Yahoo! Mail the default email application for your computer, click Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Programs tab (or on Internet Explorer toolbar click Tools %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Programs tab) %26gt; under E-mail click the down arrow and select Yahoo! Mail %26gt; click Apply and OK.

If Yahoo! Mail isn't listed as a default email option, installing Yahoo! Messenger (install everything that comes with it, especially Yahoo! Browser Services, don't un-check anything), will add Yahoo! Mail to the list of email options, and if you don't want it, uninstall it ( it will leave Yahoo! as an email option ).

If you already have Yahoo! Messenger, re-install it. If you don't want Yahoo! Messenger and uninstall it, it should leave Yahoo! Mail in the list of email options.

You can download Yahoo! Messenger here:

It might fix your problem with Yahoo! Mail if you clear your browser's cache. Close the mail page, click Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Internet Options (or on Internet Explorer toolbar click Tools %26gt; Internet Options) and delete Cookies, Temporary Internet Files, and History. You might also click Start %26gt; All Programs %26gt; Accessories %26gt; System Tools %26gt; Disk Cleanup %26gt; and run Disk Cleanup.
