Whenever I open my web browser or email it opens in a small window.?

I have to maximize it to fill the screen. How do you change the settings so things open already maximized. I am using Windows XP

This should solve your problem.





Windows has an "Auto remember" of what the window size and location was the last time you closed the program. So the next time you open this program it will be the same size and in the same location.





Meaning ---


1. Open Internet Explorer


2. Maximize the window


3. Hit the Red X at the top right corner


4. Reopen Internet Explorer and the screen should be maximized.





--- This works for most, it not all programs like Microsoft Word.
