How do I get rid of the email addresses on web search on yahoo?
If you mean IP addresses - tools, internet options, delete browsing history, offline content, cookies, etc.
Reply:To delete individual searches from drop down menu in the Yahoo! Home Page 'Web Search' bar:
Hover pointer on search to highlight, then hit the 'delete' key on your keyboard. Hold down 'delete' key to delete all.
To clear passwords, pages, web search history, and temporary files in Yahoo! Web Search bar with IE6 Browser: (Clear Cache)
1. Log out ('Sign Out')
2. Click 'Tools' on your browser.
3. Click 'Internet Options'.
4. At the 'General' tab, in the 'Temporary Internet files' section:
(a. Click Delete Cookies'.
(b. Click 'OK'.
(c. Click 'Delete Files'.
(d. Check the box: '[/]Delete all offline content'
(e. Click 'OK'.
5. At the 'History' section:
(a. Click 'Clear History'.
6. Click the 'Content' tab (top center).
In the 'Personal information' section:
(a. Click the 'AutoComplete' button.
(b. In the Clear AutoComplete history' section:
(c. Click on the 'Clear Forms' button.
(d. Click 'OK'.
(e. Click on the 'Clear Passwords' button.
(f. Click 'OK'.
(g. Click 'OK'.
7. Click 'OK'.
8. To disable this feature:
In the 'Use AutoComplete for' section:
Uncheck the boxes:
'[_] Web addresses'
'[_] Forms'
'[_] User names and passwords on forms'
11. Close browser.
12. Open browser.
13. Log back in ('Sign In').
